Hi Diz,
I would like to order one but I don't see it on your 'Shopping' order page.

Opps...

No wonder I've not received any orders for the PIN switches.
I fix that today.
Thanks for the heads up.

Re: PDS - Dual PIN Diode Switches for 2-30 MHz

What is the power handling capacity of this circuit?  I am interested in using these to switch a 140W amplifier in and out.

If I am doing my math correctly, the PIN diodes should be able to handle 800 watts.  Do other parts of the circuit have lower limits?

These PIN switches are designed to handle 5 milliWatts (+7dBm) or less

Obviously I didn't do my math right :-)

Thanks for the info!

Re: PDS - Dual PIN Diode Switches for 2-30 MHz

Diz,

I can see where these would come in real handy for switching lo-power RF on a multiband rig.  Can you tell me, in the grand scheme of the "transceiver idea" (using your modules), are theyrequired anywhere?  I ask because as best I can determine, all the needed switching is done on the other boards.  In short, I'm ready to order what modules I think I need to complete a transceiver, but want to make sure I'm not missing something.  I'm thinking along the lines of a 40m monobander.

Thanks,
Greg

Actually, I'm going to put one on my order anyway - if I don't need it, I'll use it somewhere, plus it will be fun to play with  and see a diode switch work (I've never built or used one).

Re: PDS - Dual PIN Diode Switches for 2-30 MHz

Not only that, they are dirt cheap! If it's left over, no big deal!

I have a frequency reference kit I haven't put together yet just because it was cheap and kind of neat!

I'm going to have a table at a local hamfest next month and there will be info on the toolkits for the taking.

Hi Greg,

They are NOT required to build a transceiver if you use my other kits.
I only offer them for those folks that build stuff from scratch.
