Build this Universal High Gain IF Amplifier





MC1350 PDF Spec Sheet

This IF amplifier is intended to be driven from a ~200 ohm CW crystal filter.
Output of this circuit is designed to drive an SA612 Audio Detector.
The PCB is designed to use either the MC1350 or the higher gain MC1349.
Only the MC1350P is included with the kit.

Install/Solder all capacitors, sockets and resistors.

Wind 2 turns using the 30 GA red wire and 6 turns using the 30 GA green wire on a BN-43-2402 binocular ferrite.
Strip the insulation from the wire pigtails.
Use sandpaper as you do not want to nick the wire.
Install the binocular with the red wire towards J1

Wind 30 or 31 turns using 28 ga wire on a T37-2 red toroid.
Strip the insulation from the wire pigtails.
Use sandpaper as you do not want to nick the wire.
Install the toroid at L1
