This project was initiated on the qrp-l@mailman.qth.net email reflector on 22 Sept 2010.
We are using the qrp-l email reflector for interactive discussions on the miniPIG+ project.

What is the miniPIG+ Project?

The objective of the miniPIG+ project is to create a community designed, single band, 5 Watt,
SSB/CW/AM transceiver, that uses band modules to cover 100 KHz to 30 MHz using DDS technology.
We will design a base tranceiver platform that may be modified to the users needs.

A community designed project means we will review all technical design suggestions from all participants
however the final specs included in the motherboard design will be controlled by W8DIZ.

The information contained on these web-pages are considered open-source and any individual has the right
to the design for their personal use and may create a PCB and build a miniPIG+ using such design,
however W8DIZ reserves the right to exclusively KIT the miniPIG+ design for commercial purposes.

This project is expect to start slow but then accelerate into 2011.
There is not a projected completion date for the miniPIG+.
Continuous PCB upgrades (versions) are expected as we learn and improve the transceiver design.
